Role Overview:
- Lead subsea structural engineering and design interface with other disciplines and clients.
- Provide high-level expertise in structural aspects of projects, including calculations, analysis, and design verification.
- Interface with and lead a team of engineers, including pipelines, geotechnical/foundation, and subsea production specialists.
- Gather, prepare, and develop engineering studies, numerical analysis calculations, and technical reports.
- Participate in constructability, operability, and maintainability reviews to incorporate requirements into structural designs.
- Utilize commercial numerical/finite element analysis software (e.g., FS2000, SACS, ABAQUS) for design preparation.
- Assess project risks during constructability and instability reviews, as well as during design and execution phases.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Expertise in subsea engineering and structural engineering principles.
- Proficiency in numerical/finite element analysis software such as FS2000, SACS, and ABAQUS.
- Strong understanding of UK and international design standards and codes.
- Knowledge of subsea hardware and production systems, including manifolds and various structures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with engineers of diverse backgrounds and seniorities.
- Proactive team player with a positive attitude towards achieving project goals.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline.
- Professional (or seeking professional) status in engineering.
