This is a programme-level leadership role, accountable for ensuring testing completeness, managing risk, and providing confidence in system readiness ahead of go-live.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the overall test strategy across IMOS configuration, custom-built components, and integrations.
  • Establish testing governance, including entry/exit criteria, acceptance standards, and go/no-go decision points.
  • Align testing activities with programme milestones, cutover plans, and delivery timelines.
  • Lead large-scale User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in collaboration with vendor (Veson) and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure test scenarios reflect end-to-end operational workflows, including chartering, voyage estimation and execution, bunker management and freight economics.
  • Own UAT sign-off and clearly articulate residual risks to leadership.
  • Maintain oversight of all bespoke functionality delivered alongside IMOS.
  • Ensure appropriate test coverage for custom developments.
  • Validate that custom solutions integrate correctly and behave as intended within the IMOS ecosystem.
  • Lead testing where custom functionality extends or overrides standard IMOS behaviour.
  • Own testing across all integrated systems, including CTRM/ETRM platforms, financial and settlement systems and reporting and data platforms.
  • Ensure data integrity, reconciliation, and consistency across all systems.
  • Validate end-to-end workflows under real operational conditions.
  • Establish and manage defect triage processes aligned with programme scale.
  • Prioritise defects based on impact to freight economics, operational execution and financial accuracy and controls.
  • Drive resolution of critical issues to ensure programme readiness.
  • Support the cutover manager with test input into deployment planning and rehearsals.
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations for go/no-go decisions.
  • Ensure readiness for transition into hypercare support phase.
  • Act as a senior point of assurance on testing quality and programme risk.
  • Provide clear, evidence-based reporting to programme leadership and business sponsors.
  • Challenge design decisions and timelines where necessary to ensure testability and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Test Manager on large, complex programmes, preferably within trading, shipping, or logistics environments.
  • Strong understanding of freight operations and maritime logistics.
  • Experience with IMOS (Veson) is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience managing UAT (User Acceptance Testing), SIT (System Integration Testing) and non-functional testing.
  • Experience testing vendor platforms alongside custom-built solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of systems integration and data validation across multiple platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior leadership.
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced programme environments.

Key Competencies

  • Strategic thinking and programme-level ownership.
