Position Overview
This position supports the Operations Team Lead in achieving the highest standards for plant and equipment serviceability and certification in a fast‑paced, 24/7 operational environment. The role is essential for ensuring the timely maintenance, examination, and repair of a broad variety of electrical plant and equipment utilized within the company's asset lifecycle and next project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Work independently and collaboratively to carry out examination, repair, maintenance, testing, and certification of electrical plant and equipment.
- Complete verification and assurance maintenance routines, maintaining quality records as required.
- Identify and report any faults or repair costs found in electrical equipment returned from clients, ensuring all work is performed to the appropriate standard.
- Understand the root causes of failures and initiate action to prevent reoccurrence.
- Maintain adequate stocks of equipment and materials as required for operational continuity.
- Conduct inspections and minor repairs on returned equipment, supporting quality and safety standards.
- Occasionally carry out repairs and testing on client‑owned equipment according to procedure.
- Foster a working environment focused on respect for health, safety, environmental responsibilities, and high‑level service provision.
- Commit to the company’s Competence Assurance System and undertake relevant training and assessments as required.
- Adhere to housekeeping and cleanliness standards within the work environment and provide support to wider depot operations when requested.
Qualifications & Experience
- Recognised electrical apprenticeship.
- Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance and repair.
- Desirable: Compex certification, Validate Calibration (Welding), IEE Current Edition, experience with tooling and plant, and proficiency in PC software such as Word and Excel.
