We’re hiring a Data Scientist on a contract basis to join our Digital Capabilities and Core Platform team in London. You’ll play a key role in driving the migration of Java applications to the Azure Cloud while delivering high-performance streaming solutions using machine learning and big data technologies. This is a hybrid contract position running until the end of the year, requiring 3 days per week onsite in London and 2 days remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and implement AI models for classification, clustering, anomaly detection, and NLP.
- Manage end-to-end model lifecycle from data prep to deployment and monitoring.
- Write clean, production-level Python and SQL code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver models that support business outcomes.
- Use MLOps practices and Azure tools to develop scalable, cloud-based solutions.
What You’ll Bring:
- Solid experience in Python, SQL, and statistical data analysis.
- Proven track record in machine learning and NLP.
- Familiarity with Azure AI & ML, MLOps workflows, and model deployment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of GitLab, JIRA, Agile practices, and UNIX environments.
