We are seeking a skilled Petrophysicist to join our client's subsurface team in the oil and gas industry, focusing on optimising logging programmes, providing real time QC and data interpretation, and general petrophysics support, based in Aberdeen.
Role Overview
- Develop and optimize logging programs for NPNT horizontal well with LWD data and pressure points, planned for Q3-2026.
- Provide real-time QC and interpretation of data, including formation pressure points for timely completion decisions.
- Collaborate with vendors and subsurface departments for two well integrity logging jobs, scheduled for Summer 2026.
- Ensure QC and finalization of Petrophysical data, adhering to data delivery guidelines for corporate and regulatory compliance.
- Support a small team of Petrophysicists in well logging activities, utilizing experience in open and cased hole data acquisition and interpretation.
- Flexibly work hours associated with rig operations (as required).
Skills & Qualifications
- Highly skilled in Techlog, including realtime and Quanti modules.
- Expertise in open hole LWD data QC and interpretation.
- Proficient in cased hole well integrity, corrosion, and caliper logging.
Education & Experience
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in Petrophysics or related disciplines preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in petrophysical analysis and well logging.
