We need an experienced Application Specialist to drive change, optimisation, and service ownership across a portfolio of asset and production-focused enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and business analysis with stakeholders, translating requirements into functional designs and user stories
- Own change delivery including backlog management, UAT, release, cutover, and hypercare
- Act as functional SME for multiple asset applications, ensuring stable BAU handover and documentation
- Govern vendors and AMS providers, managing SLAs, KPIs, estimates, and delivery plans
- Lead functional outcomes across integrations (APIs, middleware, batch/file interfaces)
- Embed non‑functional requirements (security, performance, availability) and compliance controls (SoD, JML, GDPR)
- Track benefits realisation and support adoption post‑implementation
Must‑Have Skills
- 7+ years as an Application Specialist, Application SME, or Business Analyst
- Enterprise application change delivery, upgrades, and integrations
- Strong experience with asset/production systems (e.g. Hydrocarbon Accounting, HSSE, Control of Work)
- Vendor and AMS‑led delivery models
- Solid understanding of APIs, middleware, and data quality
- ITIL‑based service ownership and formal governance
Nice‑to‑Have
- Agile/Scrum and/or PRINCE2 experience
- Experience across multi‑application portfolios in regulated environments
