Join Airspection as we operate tough, long-range endurance drones for remote infrastructure inspection. We are pioneering shore launched BVLOS operations for offshore wind, working directly with regulators and some of the world’s largest wind operators.
We’re hiring a Remote Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS or Drone) Pilot who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role, owning flight planning, execution and safety in the field. This role is ideal for a skilled remote pilot who’s passionate about advancing their career into lead pilot responsibilities, with a future pathway into flight operations management. You’ll work in complex, regulated environments to help replace helicopter and vessel-based inspections with clean, autonomous systems.
What you will own
- Remote Piloting: Act as remote pilot in command, leading the flight crew during operations, final sign-off before take-off, flight control of VTOL system (multirotor & fixed-wing), fly under open category, PDRA01 and BVLOS authorisations, conduct infrastructure inspections, work offshore when required.
- Flight Planning & Support: Prepare drone logistics for flight, develop flight plans, conduct site assessments, conduct risk assessments (including RAMS), coordinate flight plans with clients and involved parties, post-flight review and inspection data handling, support the development of flight checklists, SOPs and training for BVLOS pilots, work with the Technical R&D team to improve the drone system, when required, operate as a visual observer, remote pilot assistant, or safety officer.
What you bring
- Experience flying fixed-wing or multirotor platforms.
- Experience providing commercial drone inspections (1 year+).
- Documented inspection piloting experience (20 flight hours+).
- GVC qualified for fixed-wing or multirotor platforms.
- Confidence operating within regulated environments.
