247 Airport Transfer is currently recruiting Passenger Assistants to join our growing team, supporting school transport services in London.
As a Passenger Assistant, you will accompany children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to and from school during term time. You will work alongside a professional driver to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of all passengers.
What We Offer

What You\’ll Do
- Escort children safely between home and school (morning and afternoon)
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with parents and school staff
- Ensure passengers are secure and comfortable throughout the journey
- Assist with wheelchairs, child seats, and passenger lifting equipment when necessary
- Act as a communication link between schools and parents
- Follow procedures for emergencies, including safe evacuation
- Report any incidents, concerns, or behavioural issues
What You’ll Need to Start
You must provide the following documentation:
- Valid Passport or Photo ID
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing to apply — we can assist)
- National Insurance number (on an official document or payslip)
- Two proofs of address (e.g. utility bill and bank statement)
- PATS Training Certificate – or willingness to obtain it (we\’ll guide you)
Preferred Qualifications (Desirable, not essential)
- PATS Certificate
- Paediatric First Aid
- Experience working with children or individuals with SEN
- Previous work in a care or support environment
Essential Skills & Attributes
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Caring and patient nature
- Good spoken English and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Flexible availability (especially during school hours)
- Physically able to assist passengers (bending, lifting, pushing wheelchairs)
- Able to maintain confidentiality at all times
Additional Information
You will report to our Controller\’s Department and SEN Department Manager. Interviews will be scheduled shortly – shortlisted applicants will be contacted. All offers are subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
