Reporting to the GM - Schedules Planning & Slots, our Planning Executive - Slots will work as part of the small Slots team and Take Responsibility for the management of Jet2. com’s ever-expanding Airport Slot Portfolio.
Recent fleet and schedule expansion in the Jet2. com network leads to the requirement for this exciting new role.
Airport Slots are a key asset of our business, forming a large part of the authorisation for the flight to take place and are integral to the success of every operation.

What you’ll be doing
- Specialising in Slot Coordination, the mainstay of this role's duties are as follows:
- Direct Liaison with Independent Slot Coordinators, Airport Operations and Commercial teams.
- Detailed analysis of airport constraints, both at UK bases and Overseas destinations.
- Building knowledge and following the methods of the IATA Worldwide Airport Slot Guidelines.
- Building Slot submissions, Slot Returns and maintaining Jet2. com's Historic Slots at Level 3 and Level 2 airports.
- Day-to-day management of ad-hoc slots.
- Working closely with our OCC team to help with slot queries and problems.
- Adherence to regular external deadlines.
- Editing and Amending flight schedules to meet airport slot requirements and following through with the schedule changes to the customer - working closely with Revenue Teams and Pre Travel Services.
- Assisting other tasks and projects within the Planning Team.

Requirements
- Experience of working in an airline or travel environment, with an interest in airport logistics.
- Comfortable using IT systems ranging from MS tools to bespoke airline planning applications.
- Ability to work in high pressured situations to get the job done.
- Excellent time management and work prioritisation skills.
- Practical thinker with a thirst for problem-solving.
- Previous experience of Airport Slot Management, either as an Airline Representative or an Airport Coordinator would be an advantage. Excellent
