About the Company
247 Airport Transfer is a minicab company based in London that provides professional airport, port, station transfer and Home to School transport for children with special educational needs. With increased demand from County Councils we now have opportunities for PCO licensed drivers to join our friendly team across London and surrounding areas. All vehicles are well maintained and PHV‑ready, so you can get on the road with confidence.
The company will include:
- The PHV licence annually
- 2 MOT checks per year
- Service checks including change of the tyres (normal wear and tear)
Conditions for the New Driver
- Valid PCO and PHV Licence
- Vehicle must be no older than 5 years
- No more than 6 points on driving licence
- Enhanced DBS (not older than 3 years)
Mandatory Training
- Induction
- MIDAS and/or PATS training (required by all local authorities)
- Safeguarding Training
- Paediatric First Aid Training (depending on the authority)
- MIDAS training (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) – nationally recognised certification that ensures safety standards for vulnerable service users. This training is essential as we rely on our drivers for school runs and other local authority work. Failure to complete this training will result in termination of the collaboration.

- MIDAS or Safeguarding Training Certificate (training will be provided if you don't have it)
What We Provide
- Vehicle, training (as necessary), and access to the most profitable city in the country for car hire
- Insurance, maintenance, guidance, expertise, admin, management & anything else necessary to keep you on the road
- Advanced software system that will allow you to pick your own jobs from the Driver App for the same day or the next day. You can also accept the jobs “as a package” for the next day, as the Controller will allocate to you in advance the available jobs
Compensation & Benefits
- Commission-Based Rental Agreement (43% Weekly Commission)
- Commission Structure: You will pay a weekly 43% commission to the company – 23% from job earnings and 20% for the car rental.
- Vehicle Responsibility: You are responsible for any fines, penalties, or damage to the car. Additionally, you will need to refuel or recharge the vehicle (depending on whether it’s petrol/diesel or electric).
- Minimum Work Commitment: A minimum of 5 days/week at 12‑hour shifts or 6 days/week at 10‑hour shifts is required. You must complete a minimum of 4 jobs per day. If you work fewer hours or days, a fixed fee will apply depending on the vehicle you rent. You must complete a minimum of 20 jobs per week. Failure to meet this threshold may result in the company reclaiming the vehicle.
- MANDATORY Training & Responsibilities: All drivers must complete MIDAS training and be willing to cover any school run or wheelchair‑accessible jobs assigned by local authorities.
- Priority Allocation: School run drivers using a company vehicle will receive priority on airport job assignments, when available, that align with their school run schedules.
- Deposit: A refundable deposit of £300 or £500 is required.
- Exclusivity: Under this arrangement, you are not permitted to work for other companies.
Fixed Weekly Rent
- Drivers can work with other companies as well.
- 2023 – Estate, KIA, GREEN – Deposit: £500. With insurance: £240, plus VAT. Without insurance: £170, plus VAT.
- Mercedes V class, 2019 – Without insurance: £350.
- 2019 – Renault Trafic – wheelchair accessible 8 Seater – Deposit: £300. With insurance: £240, plus VAT. Without insurance: £170, plus VAT.
Rent‑to‑Buy
- Drivers can work with any company they choose.
- 2023 – Estate, KIA, GREEN – Proposed contract: 4 years. Commission option: 15% commission (work with us full time) or Fixed amount: £180/week.
- 2019 – Renault Trafic – wheelchair accessible 8 Seater – Proposed contract: 1 year (52 weeks) at £240 plus VAT without insurance, or £290 plus VAT with insurance included; 18‑month contract (78 weeks) at £195 plus VAT without insurance, or £245 plus VAT with insurance included.
On average, a Full Time driver working with our company will make between £1,000–£1,500 per week.
