We’re Airparks – part of the Holiday Extras Group – and we’re on a mission to change the world of airport parking. We provide a service our customers can genuinely trust, and it’s our people who make the difference.

We’re looking for a Transport Manager who can take ownership of our passenger transport operations based at our Luton site – keeping our customers moving safely, efficiently, and on time, every time. In this role, you’ll be the expert who ensures we always have a safe, compliant, and well-maintained fleet, along with a team of drivers who are engaged, informed and correctly trained.

This is predominantly based on-site at our Luton operations centre, with regular travel to our Birmingham office and periodically other European sites as needed. In-person connection and collaboration is at the heart of how we work.

The Role

  • Lead on fleet management – liaising with maintenance providers and vehicle suppliers to keep vehicles safe, compliant, and road-ready at all times.
  • Own driver development – coaching and educating the driver team on best practice, safety standards, and innovation in passenger transport.
  • Ensure legislative compliance – staying current with transport regulations and working with site management to embed them operationally.
  • Manage day-to-day logistics – from fuel delivery schedules to driver inductions and licence checks, keeping operations running smoothly under pressure.
  • Collaborate across teams – working closely with site managers, operations colleagues, and external partners to deliver a consistently excellent customer journey.
  • Identify and solve problems – spotting risks before they become issues and adapting quickly when things don’t go to plan.
  • Keep us moving forward – proactively spotting new opportunities and identifying areas where we could be doing things better.
  • A different kind of transport role – unlike a traditional bus operator, our transport department sits at the heart of a wider business.
  • Grow with us – there’s real scope to shape this role and develop within a business that’s investing in its people and its operations.

This is a Monday to Friday, 37.5-hour a week role - but as an operational position, hours can flex with the demands of the business. Any extra time you put in won't be missed; with those hours given back in lieu when things are quieter.

Requirements

  • A background in passenger transport operations – you understand how these environments work and what it takes to keep them running.
  • CPC Transportation qualification PCV and driver CPC qualifications.
  • Calm under pressure – you’re pragmatic, methodical, and don’t rattle easily.
  • Strong communication skills – you’re confident with drivers, senior managers, and external partners alike.
  • A can-do attitude – enthusiastic, flexible, and always looking to work smarter.
  • Excellent organisation – you juggle priorities well and don’t let things slip.
  • A growth mindset – curious, open to learning, and keen to innovate.

Everyone’s career path is individual and different, so this is just a guide. If your experience doesn’t precisely match this, you’re encouraged to apply so that we can discover your unique talents!
