Airpac Rentals is a long-established energy equipment rental supplier with international coverage, having operated in over 60 countries across 6 continents. We provide specialist rental equipment solutions to the well test, LNG, pipeline services, drilling, cuttings transportation, maintenance and decommissioning markets.

A newly created and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team at our Kintore Headquarters, covering our international regions. This strategic role will play a key part in developing and executing our commercial growth strategy, expanding our geographic footprint, and strengthening our international market presence across both onshore and offshore sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and pursue new international business opportunities across offshore drilling, subsea developments, onshore infrastructure and the emerging Energy Transition sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, operators and decision‑makers across target regions.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and secure profitable opportunities aligned to company objectives.
  • Develop and execute structured market entry and regional growth strategies.
  • Conduct detailed market intelligence, competitor analysis and customer requirement mapping.
  • Build, manage and maintain a robust CRM pipeline of qualified opportunities from early engagement through to contract award.
  • Identify strategic partnerships and collaboration opportunities to support geographic expansion.
  • Monitor international market activity, industry trends and competitor positioning to proactively identify growth opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of the international energy rental markets, particularly outside Airpac Rentals’ core geographies (Europe, Asia and Australia).
  • Proven experience engaging directly with international end customers in offshore and onshore markets.
  • Demonstrated ability in market assessment, opportunity sizing and business case development.
  • Experience working closely with leadership, commercial and marketing teams to align strategic objectives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with an established professional network within the offshore rental market.
  • Strong understanding of international contracting within offshore rental and energy sectors.
  • Substantial experience in a similar international business development role.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis.
