Overview
We are currently seeking a Paediatric Regional Lead – Clinical Services to join our dedicated team. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on managing and guiding our clinical team to ensure the delivery of best-in-class care for complex care packages across Wales.
You will be instrumental in the development of our paediatric service, joining a collaborative and supportive clinical team that already provides complex care for adult and mental health service users. You will be supported by our in-house Clinical Team and experienced Complex Care Coordinators to deliver exceptional care to children and their families.

As a Regional Lead, you will develop and manage a defined team, monitor performance, and ensure our care delivery meets and exceeds professional standards.

Main Purpose of the Role:
- Provide clinical leadership and direction to care and support staff.
- Maintain clinical accountability for complex paediatric care packages in the community.
- Ensure appropriate staff placement and oversee service user safety and experience.
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care and support safe, supervised services.
- Train and develop carers and nurses, facilitating training when required.
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and develop detailed electronic care plans.
- Identify and escalate safeguarding issues according to company policy.
- Participate in regional or local on-call rotas as needed.
- Foster relationships with multi-disciplinary teams and drive service improvement.
- Lead, support, and expand the clinical team to ensure continuity of care.
General Duties:
- Act professionally and in accordance with the NMC Code.
- Ensure care staff maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation.
- Conduct initial service user assessments and write individualized risk assessments.
- Meet and induct new carers/nurses promptly to ensure readiness for practice.
- Ensure quick response to emergencies by the clinical team.
- Manage PPE supply and compliance with disposal protocols.
- Perform regular performance appraisals and obtain service user/family feedback.
- Support compliance during external regulatory inspections.
Clinical Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead the nursing team with a clear clinical vision.
- Assess and develop personalised care plans for paediatric patients.
- Monitor outcomes and adjust care plans to improve service user wellbeing.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary colleagues to coordinate holistic care.
- Maintain and update clinical records in line with professional standards.
Skills and Qualifications
- Valid Nursing Registration (NMC).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in paediatric nursing.
- Previous experience in a clinical lead or leadership role is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of paediatric complex care.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Competency in risk assessment, medication administration, and electronic care planning.
