We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Healthcare Assistant to provide overnight care for a 1-year-old child with complex medical needs in their home in Rochester. This role involves NG tube care and end-of-life support, ensuring the child’s comfort and well-being throughout the night.

Job Details:

Location: Rochester, Kent

Pay: £15 per hour PAYE | £19 per hour Umbrella

Shift Pattern:

Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Driving license required – must be able to drive to the patient’s home

Responsibilities:

Provide overnight personal care and comfort

Assist with NG tube feeding and management

Offer compassionate end-of-life care

Monitor and respond to any changes in the child’s condition

Administer medications as per care plan

Ensure the child is safe, comfortable, and settled throughout the night

Maintain clear and accurate care records

This is a home-based role, working closely with the child’s family and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, person-centered care.

Requirements:

Right to work in the UK

Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle

At least 6 months of personal care experience (home care, hospital, or care home)

Experience with NG tubes and end-of-life care

DBS on update service or willingness to obtain one

Basic Life Support and Moving/Handling training
