We are seeking Support Workers to provide complex care for children with a range of complex issues, across Essex. This rewarding opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact in the life of children working in a supportive, caring environment in a home-based setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to young children
- Be proactive with managing activities & sensory play
- Ability to communicate clearly & effectively through verbal & written means
- Strong interpersonal skills, along with empathy
- Must have a calm demeanour and a playful personality
- Maintain clear and accurate care observation records
- Must be able to maintain a high level of personal care
Requirements:
- At least a 1 year’s experience working with Children & Learning Disabilities
- Proven experience in Paediatric Complex Care
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the Airmid care team, MDT and family
- Compassionate, empathetic approach to patient-focused care
- Experience with elements of Tracheostomy, PEG/NG Feeding, Ventilators, Deep suctioning (not all essential)
- Experience with Learning Disabilities & challenging behaviour
