- Overview
Airmec Essential Services is one of the UK’s longest established specialist air hygiene and water treatment solution providers.
Operating on a national basis, we work with a range of clients within High Security establishments, Healthcare, Local Government, Education and much more.
With our Head Office based in Bristol, we have specialist teams of technicians across the UK.
We are currently looking for an Air Technician to join the southern team, ideally along the M4 corridor (Swindon area).
Our Air Technicians are required to test fire dampers, clean ventilation supply and extract systems and clean/maintain Air Handling Units (AHU’s).
We predominantly work on high security sites so successful candidates will need security vetting, from baseline enhanced DBS check to high level security clearance (CTC).
Experience working on construction sites, commercial cleaning, or similar hands-on environments is essential.
Candidates who don’t have experience in this industry is not essential.
Candidates who are looking for progression, willing to learn with the right attitude is.
Key tasks include
- Carry out fire damper testing and inspections.
- Duct access door Installation
- Ductwork and ventilation cleaning and disinfections in line with TR19 and COSHH regulations.
- Kitchen extract cleaning in line with TR19 and COSHH regulations
- Air Handling Unit maintenance
- AHU Corrosion treatment
- Maintaining accurate site records and administration including timesheets, expenses, survey forms and job sheets
Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Experience in working in the Air hygiene industry preferred but not essential.
- Experience working on construction sites, commercial cleaning, or similar hands-on environments.
- Experience of fire damper testing preferred but not essential.
- Strong Health & Safety knowledge and experience with a practical approach on site
- Happy to work at height or confined spaces where required.
- Good communication skills, able to work to deadlines.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willing to work occasional unsocial hours and be flexible to travel or stay away.
- Full driving licence
- You will be based along the M4 corridor
