Airmec Essential Services is one of the UK’s longest established specialist air hygiene and water treatment solution providers. Operating on a national basis, we work with a range of clients within High Security establishments, Healthcare, Local Government, Education and much more. With our Head Office based in Bristol, we have specialist teams of technicians across the UK.
Our technicians are required to carry out water hygiene work with some air hygiene works. This will include:
- Monthly water monitoring
- Tank cleaning
- TMV servicing
- Disinfections
- Showerhead descales
- Water sampling
The air side of our business will require the testing of fire dampers and routine maintenance of air handling units. As a technician, you’ll be working on site at a variety of locations throughout England. Ideally, you will be based around the Southampton – Portsmouth area, leading up to Basingstoke then Reading, along the M27, up the M3 and towards Reading on the M4.
Key tasks:
- Down service disinfections – mains or tank fed
- Monthly water monitoring in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG 274 to include outlet temperatures, inspections of cold water tanks and hot water storage vessels plus updating logbooks
- Water softener servicing and disinfections
Qualifications:
- City & Guilds in TMV Servicing – Desirable
Skills & Experience:
- Water Hygiene – Min 2 years’ experience
- Happy to work at height and in confined spaces
- Knowledge of legislations and latest guidance
- Excellent organisational and time keeping skills
- Able to work to deadlines
- Clear and confident in communication skills
- Able to obtain Enhanced DBS
- Full driving licence
