Due to expansion and continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Air Compressor Field Service Engineer to join our service team based in Hampshire.
SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF JOB
The Compressor Field Service Engineer will deliver a first rate compressed air engineering service to customers throughout the Southern region, providing advice, diagnostics, routine maintenance and breakdown repairs / fault finding.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Undertake planned and preventative maintenance of various compressed air & nitrogen generation equipment.
- Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repair of various compressed air & nitrogen generation equipment.
- Install and commission new/used compressed air & nitrogen generation equipment.
- Keep up to date records, including service reports, time sheets, recommendations etc.
- Identify opportunities for the sales department.
- Participate in out of hours call out rota (1 in 7, retainer of £150.00 pw + 1.5/2.0 paid overtime depending on hours).
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have experience of installing, repairing and maintaining industrial compressed air equipment.
- Mechanical/Electrical Qualification.
- Fully conversant with Health & Safety legislations & practice.
- Must be based close to Southampton.
- Flexibility to work overtime as required in the designated territory, including some travel to areas outside of the immediate region.
- Full UK driving licence.
