How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
You will learn and obtain experience in the fundamentals of mechanical engineering within the gas mixing and transfilling industry. You will also receive training at college and study part-time throughout the duration of the apprenticeship. You will be taught and put into practice engineering skills which will be key for a Maintenance engineering role at Calgaz. Your apprenticeship will last for a minimum of 3 years, during which time you will work within our Engineering team.
Key / Specific Responsibilities (Hard Skills)- Repair mechanical components
- Carry out planned maintenance work
- Log results on the company computerized maintenance management system
- Install high pressure pipework and associated valves and fittings
- Read and understand piping and instrumentation diagrams
- Understand how to specify the correct materials and fittings for specific tasks
- Risk assessments and management of permits to work
