About the Role: Due to continued growth, we are seeking Fire Engineers to join our expanding team. These roles provide the opportunity to work across a range of building safety and fire engineering projects, supporting local authorities, housing associations and other clients. Successful candidates will undertake fire risk assessments, provide fire safety advice, support remediation projects and contribute to the continued development of our fire engineering capability. You will work closely with clients and project teams to deliver practical, compliant and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal and external Fire Risk Assessments, including intrusive inspections where required.
  • Advise clients on fire safety compliance across existing and new-build developments.
  • Undertake fire risk assessments in accordance with current legislation and industry guidance.
  • Produce detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Review fire safety information and documentation provided by clients.
  • Develop pragmatic and cost-effective solutions to mitigate fire safety risks.
  • Attend client, contractor and resident meetings to explain findings and recommendations.
  • Peer review reports prepared by other Fire Engineers where required.
  • Support refurbishment, remediation and fire protection projects.
  • Review contractor proposals and provide technical input.
  • Carry out compliance inspections and site visits during remedial works.
  • Attend site progress meetings and liaise with project stakeholders.
  • Support business development activities and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Contribute to the development of quality management processes and technical standards.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:

  • Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience, or 5 years' relevant experience through a competency-based route.
  • Experience undertaking Fire Risk Assessments.
  • Understanding of fire safety legislation and industry guidance.
  • Experience working on residential and occupied buildings.
  • Ability to advise clients on fire safety compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to produce clear technical reports.
  • Experience working collaboratively with clients, contractors and project teams.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
