Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager (Sustainable Housing Products)

Reports to: Head of Sales

Location: Hybrid – one day a week in the London office, Waterloo with regular travel to client sites and customer events, according to business need.

Salary: 50-60k plus commission

Position Overview

AirEx is a fast dynamic startup manufacturing energy efficiency hardware products for social housing landlords and homeowners in fuel poverty. We have designed the world\’s first smart air brick, empowering householders and landlords to reduce energy demand while managing air quality in homes. Our mission is to create warm and healthy homes for everyone in need and our easy‑to‑install, user‑friendly technology is revolutionising the retrofit market.

In This Role You Will Be Responsible For

  • Helping shape the development and execution of AirEx’s business development strategy across the Social Housing and Local Authority markets.
  • Lead generation and account management, converting sales opportunities to sales.
  • Using a mix of digital channels, face‑to‑face meetings and events to build trust and relationships with customers in social housing, local authorities and energy efficiency retrofit contractors.
  • Financial forecasting, delivering clear and reliable insights into project close dates.
  • Working closely with commercial, operations, and technical teams to manage project delivery.
  • Working with marketing to support campaigns, case studies, and thought leadership content that supports lead generation.

Qualities And Qualifications

  • A passion for sustainability and working to support vulnerable people.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a desire to achieve exceptional results.
  • Significant experience in driving business development for a key customer segment or route to market, including forecasting, monitoring progress and reporting.
  • Mastery of customer prospecting, follow‑up strategies, sales approaches and techniques.
  • Demonstrable experience in nurturing and managing customer relationships.
  • The ability to interpret data, market information and capture customer insights to inform strategies and priorities.
  • Ideally experience working in energy efficiency or the renewable technology space. Experience of working with social housing landlords, retrofit contractors is a bonus.
  • Ability to travel across the UK to meet customers.

  • Base salary (50-60k) plus quarterly performance‑based commission and discretionary annual bonus.
