Location: Hybrid – One day a week in the London Office, Waterloo with regular travel to client sites and customer events, according to business need.

Position Overview

AirEx is excited to be opening a position for a motivated Senior Business Development Manager to help realise the company’s sales goals in the Social Housing, Local Grant and retrofit markets.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the development and execution of AirEx’s business development strategy across the Social Housing and Local Authority markets.
  • Lead generation and account management, converting sales opportunities to sales.
  • Use a mix of digital channels, face‑to‑face meetings and events to build trust and relationships with customers in social housing, local authorities and energy efficiency retrofit contractors.
  • Financial forecasting, delivering clear and reliable insights into project close dates.
  • Work closely with commercial, operations, and technical teams to manage project delivery.
  • Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns, case studies, and thought leadership content that supports lead generation.

Qualities and Qualifications

  • A passion for sustainability and working to support vulnerable people.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a desire to achieve exceptional results.
  • Significant experience in driving business development for a key customer segment or route to market, including forecasting, monitoring progress and reporting.
  • Mastery of customer prospecting, follow‑up strategies, sales approaches and techniques.
  • Demonstrable experience in nurturing and managing customer relationships.
  • The ability to interpret data, market information and capture customer insights to inform strategies and priorities.
  • Ideally experience working in energy efficiency or the renewable technology space; experience of working with social housing landlords or retrofit contractors is a bonus.
  • Ability to travel across the UK to meet customers.

  • Base salary (50‑60k) plus quarterly performance‑based commission and discretionary annual bonus.
