We are looking for a highly motivated, responsive, and proactive individual with significant experience to lead a dedicated nursing team.

The Outpatients team takes pride in delivering person-centred care with compassion and commitment to meet the needs of our people. We are looking for a senior nurse to lead inclusively, develop the team, champion Right Care Behaviours and values, and influence service development and improvements in Outpatients.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, act as a role model, and support the team in delivering and promoting high standards of patient care.

They will also act as a resource providing information and work closely with other professionals in the wider multidisciplinary team, having a keen interest in monitoring and maintaining acceptable standards of care.

The post holder will be responsible for leading the nursing team on a day-to-day basis, coordinating the delivery of holistic patient care within the clinical environment.

Through clinical leadership, adherence to the Trust Right Care values, and the utilisation of effective management skills, the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse will ensure the department team is informed, trained, and developed to enable the highest standards of evidence-based and compassionate care to be delivered to our patients, their carers, and families. They will support a collaborative, open, and trusting communication style with all groups that the Unit communicates or interacts with, from staff to visiting teams and the individuals we care for.

To actively participate in the development of the department using innovation, challenge, and evidence-based practice/strategies to support forward growth, progression, and value-based care.

The post holder must understand the core concepts of safe and effective patient flow through the Department, using their skills to promote and support the multidisciplinary team.
