As part of our continued expansion and company growth, we are now looking for an AHU Estimating Engineer to join the team at Airedale. This key individual will be involved in preparing estimates and realistic tenders that ensure business sustainability through securing contracts. Part of your role will involve developing accurate and timely estimates and detailed quotations, as well as supporting the wider Estimating team to maximize opportunities for the business. This is a full-time permanent position, working remotely or office-based in Leeds, Bradford, or Consett. Responsibilities Key responsibilities for this role include: Using estimation software and tools to generate accurate and competitive quotations. Reviewing schedules, specifications, and drawings. Ensuring technical selections comply with customer requirements and current regulations. Working closely with our senior estimators and our external sales team, as well as contractors and consultants. Meeting tight deadlines and communicating effectively at all levels, both internally and with the customer. Identifying and developing new customers. Working under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed, and calm manner. Skills/Experience Previous use of AHU estimation software would be advantageous. Engineering qualification β HNC or above preferred. GCSE in Maths and English, grade C minimum or equivalent. Knowledge and experience of Microsoft (Excel, Word, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat. The ideal candidate will be a confident and self-motivated individual with the ability to be innovative while complying with policies and procedures. Able to manage situations when workload presents conflicting demands on time availability, demonstrating an ability to effectively prioritize and schedule. Communicating facts, ideas, and proposals to others in an effective and persuasive manner.
