About Aire Logic

We are a leading employee owned technology consultancy that works closely with sectors that are driving positive change. Founded in 2007 we have strong roots in healthcare delivering health tech projects with national, regional and local NHS partners as well as working closely with education and government sectors. Our activities fall broadly into three categories: offering technical consulting on architecture and IT strategy, providing agile delivery and DevOps services, and creating innovative IT solutions. Our culture is based around our 3 values which are tech for good, good for our staff and good for our business.

Senior HR Specialist

We are looking for a hands‑on Senior HR Specialist with strong employee relations experience. You will work as part of a small, supportive HR team, partnering closely with colleagues across the business, Talent, Delivery and leadership groups. This is not a purely advisory or ‘oversight’ role – you will be actively involved in doing the work: having conversations, drafting letters and documentation and helping navigate situations in real time. You will also help guide and build confidence in less experienced HR team members, without ‘managing’ them – we support one another, share work openly and lean on collective ownership rather than hierarchy.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead on complex or sensitive employee relations matters (e.g. performance, sickness, restructuring).
  • Build trusted relationships across the organisation.
  • Support small‑group and 1:1 conversations where reassurance, clarity or mediation is needed.
  • Support working groups across the company such as our EDI committee, affinity groups and communities of practice.
  • Review, simplify and improve HR processes and documentation.
  • Help shape clear and accessible guidance that empowers our colleagues.
  • Work closely with the Talent Team to align project placement decisions, staff wellbeing considerations and development goals.
  • Contribute to onboarding experiences and learning pathways.
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation and admin where required – we all play our part in the hands‑on work.
  • Support internal communications related to HR activity and staff updates.

Skills / Attributes / Experience

Strong experience managing employee relations cases end‑to‑end.
  • Comfortable having empathetic but clear conversations, even when they are difficult.
  • Ability to stay calm, listen well and identify underlying causes.
  • Pragmatic problem‑solver who balances carrying for and supporting employees with business context.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, switch context and stay organised.
  • Thrives in environments where everyone contributes, not hierarchical chains of command.
  • Willing to get hands‑on with documentation, note‑taking, admin and casework.
  • Familiarity with supporting neurodiverse colleagues or people experience mental health challenges.
  • Comfortable supporting process improvements or light project work.
  • Excellent experience with technology and tools including spreadsheets and AI.
  • Experience in a consultancy/tech/professional services environment desirable but not essential.
  • Level 5 or above CIPD desirable but not essential.
  • What We Can Offer

    • Pension scheme – 5 % employer contribution on pensionable earnings and 4 % minimum employee contribution with the option to salary sacrifice.
    • Healthcare plan.
    • Wellbeing days – up to 2 per year.
    • Electric vehicle scheme.
    • Cycle to work scheme.
    • Aire Time – up to 12 days to concentrate on development as well as volunteering.
    • Social events.
    • Workplace wellness scheme.
    • Death in service scheme.
    • Weekly, recorded yoga classes.
    • Annual away weekend.
    • 25 days holiday, rising to 30 days after 7 years of service.
    • Employee Ownership Trust bonus after your first year of employment, of which £3 600 is tax free.
