About Us

Aviation Restoration Company (ARC) is a family‑owned organization which specialises in the restoration, maintenance and operation of vintage aircraft. Aircraft Restoration Company currently maintain around 50 piston engine aircraft, the majority of which are vintage types. To keep up with the operational demands of this, we are expanding our engineering team with emphasis on candidates who have a comprehensive background in GA piston aircraft maintenance along with an understanding of the mechanical sympathy expected when working on vintage aircraft. Knowledge/experience of working on general aviation piston aircraft and/or vintage aircraft, or similar, is an essential requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Researching and sourcing difficult to find parts for a variety of projects in conjunction with the Hangar Managers.
  • Compiling and maintaining a list of ‘useful contacts’.
  • Carrying out technical research into a variety of special projects in conjunction with the Hangar Managers.
  • Liaising with key clients as required.
  • Working with the in-house BBMF project team and liaising with the Project Office and Hangar floor.
  • Liaising with BBMF Project Team (PT) and MILCAM to expedite progress as appropriate.
  • Undertaking ad-hoc aircraft/flying related projects as required.
  • Assisting with the oversight of works underway in the hangar.

Experience And Qualifications

  • A technical understanding of a variety of aircraft types is essential.
  • An understanding of the complexities of the vintage aircraft scene.
  • Excellent organisational skills, combined with an eye for detail.
  • The ability to compile a database of parts/costs/suppliers.
  • Ability to work accurately and methodically.
  • Natural and calm communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with a wide variety of customer/supplier queries.
