Required to lead the operations continuous improvement activities through lean principles. Ensuring that operational processes are clearly defined, mapped, embedded and reviewed. Acting as a consultant and advisory service in order to deliver consistent sustainable improvement activities across the site.
We are currently looking for an experienced Continuous Improvement Leader to join our Logistics team at our Tewkesbury Distribution Centre. This role involves leading the site through various continuous improvement initiatives. Occasional travel may also be required.
Daily Responsibilities Include:
- Exemplify the company's values and behaviours
- Regularly review all end-to-end processes with operational teams to improve outcomes and mitigate risk
- Implement and embed standardised ways of working, process controls and data capture
- Leverage MI to drive continuous improvement, providing feedback on areas for system improvements
- Identify and lead CI projects and opportunities for productivity improvements
- Provide CI training to site teams in collaboration with Learning Leaders to foster a CI and process-driven culture
- Work with Warehouse, Admin, and Transport managers to identify efficiency gains
- Manage and report on CI project updates, savings, and new initiatives
- Encourage knowledge sharing across the business to accelerate improvements
- Ensure consistency in the use of CI tools and systems across the Logistics Network
Skills Needed:
- Lean / Continuous Improvement experience
- Experience facilitating lean workshops, process mapping, and writing/implementing SOPs
- Proficiency in MS Visio
- Understanding of CI tools and techniques, e.g., DMAIC, Kaizen
- Ability to perform financial reviews for projects to assess potential savings
- Effective communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Consultative and professional approach, customer-focused
- Organized, resourceful, and proactive in delivering projects
