We are looking to recruit a warehouse assistant / driver to join our team based in Balham, SW12.

A bit about us: We hire out portable air conditioners, dehumidifiers, heaters and water coolers to commercial and residential customers in Central London and within the M25 area. We have been in business for 25 years and work as a small team to offer a personal service to all our customers.

A bit about the job: When the weather warms up we get busy. Very busy. We are looking for someone who can work either on their own in the warehouse, or with another driver to deliver our portable air conditioners and water coolers all over London. In the warehouse you'll be servicing / cleaning stock, prepping for deliveries and other general warehouse duties. From time to time you will also be out on deliveries (either as drivers mate, or on your own). You’ll need to load the correct equipment onto the van, securing the load to avoid any damage during transit. Once at the customers premises you’ll need to deliver and set up all equipment where required and be able to demonstrate how to operate the units while on hire. Some problem solving will be required and so the ability to communicate well whilst working calmly under pressure will be very important – all with a smile on your face!

What we want from you:

  • Someone with good communication skills who will be able to get on with a variety of our customers.
  • A fair bit of heavy lifting is involved so you’ll need to be physically fit too.
  • Previous experience of driving a van in and around London.
  • Some practical skills as well – a competent DIYer should be fine.
  • When it gets hot, the hours can be long so someone with a flexible approach to the working day is required.
  • A clean driving licence is required, and a minimum of 10 years driving experience.

Normal hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 4:30pm with overtime sometimes required at evenings and weekends. We are happy to pay generous overtime rates to get the job done.
