We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join Airco, a leader in high-quality HVAC and mechanical solutions. In this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of HVAC installation, service, and retrofit projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest industry standards. You will work closely with clients, engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes and exceptional customer satisfaction.
What will you do…
- Work closely with the price and design teams to determine the project scope and client expectations.
- Regularly attend sites to carry out initial surveys for all scopes of works.
- Create all necessary project documentation (plans, schedules, timelines, RAMS etc) in consultation with all relevant stakeholders, considering technical requirements and client/site requirements.
- Manage any and all changes to the project scope and project schedules, costings and budgets, maintaining communication with all relevant stakeholders.
- Identification and ordering through the project coordinator all project materials and site requirements, ensuring the delivery of all requirements to site are on time and within budget for project commencement.
- Leadership and day to day assignment of allocated resources, including subcontractors if/when necessary, ensuring 3rd party engagement.
- Monitor and control activities/budgets in order to track project status.
- Manage stakeholder relationship throughout the project life cycle, from survey to invoice whilst keeping relevant stakeholders fully informed of progress and issue resolution.
- Monitor and manage the quality and delivery of site based engineers and sub-contractors.
- Inspect quality of work in preparation for handover.
- Conduct project review/handover with the client.
Who are we looking for…
- You will be resilient, even after a difficult day you can pick yourself up and motivate and encourage others.
- Ideally you will have previous experience working in an Air Conditioning or HVAC discipline.
- You will have a minimum of 5 plus years’ experience as a Project Manager, managing budgets between £5K & £1 million.
- Ideally you will be Prince 2 qualified or have a recognised Project Management Qualification.
- You will have a high awareness and working knowledge of Health & Safety.
- You will have a full driving license.
- Be able to pass a DBS check.
- You will be a strong leader, you will naturally lead by example, influence, engage and motivate others.
- An individual with excellent interpersonal skills, you will be able to communicate easily with others, whilst demonstrating high levels of listening skills.
- You will be able to converse effectively with stakeholders at all levels internally and externally.
- You will have strong sense of commercial awareness.
- The ability to juggle various sized projects at once, planning and prioritizing will be an everyday occurrence.
- You are comfortable problem solving and dealing with conflict management.
