We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced F-Gas Refrigeration engineer to support our growing Engineering team. You will be part of a team of Engineers who support Airco in providing a service to our growing and highly prestigious client base in Manchester and surrounding areas. The role will be varied from carrying out planned and preventative maintenance to responding to service calls and carrying remedial works.

Salary: Up to £22 per hour – dependent on Experience

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Service, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial chiller systems, Refrigeration systems, also be expected to work on Air conditioning
- Identify and diagnose faults in chillers and HVAC systems.
- Perform repairs on chiller components, including compressors, evaporators, and controls.
- Effectively diagnose, identify faults and failures with equipment and systems, providing effective solutions based on best industry practices
- Coordinate and control all documents associated with reactive & planned preventative maintenance works
- Liaise closely with the client (Domestic & Commercial clients) to maintain excellent relationships
- Work in a safe and controlled manner following all necessary internal health & safety processes and client specific site requirements
- Take part in the on-call rota to support the business achieve its 24/7/365 response
- Collaborate with other team members and provide technical guidance when needed.
Key requirements:
- A highly experienced Refrigeration & Air conditioning engineer, with a minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification in Refrigeration & Air conditioning, you will be F-Gas/EN 378 compliant
- Proven experience as a chiller service engineer or similar role
- An individual who has previously worked with the Refrigeration sector and who is experienced with working within walk in cold room environments on both chilled and freezer applications.
- The individual will also be required to work on VRV, multi split and split A/C systems as well as Close Control and Chilled water systems
- You will be used to working unsupervised and be able to manage your own materials and your own works
- Have a high level of interpersonal skills to be able to build relationships with domestic and commercial clients
- Ideally you will have good electrical competence including the ability to read wiring schematics and test control circuits
- Full Driving license
- Please note you must be able to achieve a DBS certificate
