A bit about us... Founded in 1991 as a sole trade; and fast forward to today, Airco stands as a leading HVAC & Renewables contractor, directly employing more than 200 staff. Proud of our roots in Hull, the business has expanded to provide a now largely national service offering. Originally, the business predominantly operated as a refrigeration contractor; the business has grown into offering multiple disciplines including air conditioning, ventilation, heating, plumbing and renewables. We provide full service, maintenance, repair, design and installation services for this entire scope to ensure our clients can rely on us for turn key solutions within the industry, including 24/7 365 availability for critical breakdowns.

The Role.... As a Commercial Gas Service Engineer you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to our commercial customers whilst minimizing disruption where possible. You will be installing, servicing and maintaining a wide variety of commercial boilers and main source supply equipment, whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through first time fix. You will take a proactive approach to health and safety, creating a safe environment for all.

Location: South Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £19 per hour - Dependent on experience

What will you do....

  • Install commercial gas systems
  • Effectively diagnose, identify faults and failures with gas equipment and systems, providing effective solutions
  • Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance
  • Coordinate and control all documents associated with reactive & planned preventative maintenance works
  • Ensure all work is carried out to a high quality, is technically correct and is in line with Company, Client and manufacturing requirements
  • Liaise closely with the client, maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships
  • Work in a safe and controlled manner following all necessary internal health & safety processes and client specific site requirements
  • Maintain personal productivity in line with the business requirements
  • Be an ambassador of our brand as well as identifying business opportunities where possible
  • Take part in the on-call rota to support the business achieve its 24/7/365 response

Who are we looking for.....

  • An experienced and confident commercial gas engineer, you will have the necessary Commercial ACS Gas Qualifications COCN1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CCP1, ICPN1, TPCP1.
  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 5 years experience working with commercial gas
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 Plumbing & Heating
  • An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard
  • Flexibility
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, previous experience liaising with commercial stakeholders
  • The ability to work independently and use your own initiative
  • Full driving licence
  • IT competent
  • Be able to pass a DBS check
