We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service Engineer to join our team, taking responsibility for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. This is a senior hands-on role requiring strong HVACR expertise, a proactive approach to problem solving, and the ability to deliver exceptional service to a wide range of clients. As part of Airco’s team of skilled Engineers, you will support our expanding and prestigious client base across the Leeds and York area. The role offers plenty of variety, from planned preventative maintenance through to reactive emergency breakdown response, working across both domestic and commercial environments.
Salary: Up to £23 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose faults and failures across a range of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, identifying effective and practical solutions
- Deliver a strong first-time fix service wherever possible
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance to a high standard
- Manage and maintain accurate documentation relating to reactive and planned maintenance works
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships with both domestic and commercial clients
- Participate in the on-call rota to help deliver Airco’s 24/7/365 service response
- Provide senior-level technical support and demonstrate leadership in the field through your experience and knowledge
Qualifications:
- A highly experienced Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer with a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- F-Gas qualified and EN 378 compliant
- Proven hands-on experience with VRV systems, cold rooms, close control units, chilled water systems, and heat pumps
- Comfortable working independently and managing workloads effectively without supervision
- Good electrical competence, including the ability to read wiring schematics and test control circuits
- Full UK driving licence
- Must be able to obtain a DBS certificate

- Willingness to travel
