As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and operating our AWS Cloud Infrastructure, whilst working in deep collaboration with peers and business teams. Previous hands‑on experience with AWS is a must.
Key Responsibilities:- Hands‑on knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure (AWS) across Compute (Containers & Serverless), Storage, Database and respective network and security concepts and a working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code solutions.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and tools across CI/CD, Observability, Automation within the context of delivering high quality, resilient production applications.
- Leads, with high‑agency, the development of major, team‑scoped, projects; drives initiatives from ideation to completion; takes responsibility for delivering outcomes.
- Proactively communicates within and outside the team and collaborates effectively cross‑functionally; escalates and removes blockers.
- Participates in team activities as support rotations, TDD discussions, etc.
- Mentors and provides guidance to junior engineers.
- Has good product knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure; proactively fills the gaps and clarifies requirements and suggests improvements based on product knowledge and technical insights.
- Writes AI enhanced production‑ready code, finding appropriate solutions for complex challenges; leads software design discussions; participates in code‑reviews and provides constructive feedback.
- Writes good‑quality documentation in order to solicit and receive the best feedback on proposals.
- Ensures that the code delivered is fully tested, including edge cases, creating & maintaining excellent coverage through automated testing.
- Drives the performance and quality within their scope.
- Implements and maintains high‑quality logging, monitoring, alerting, and instrumentation.
- Participates in troubleshooting & resolving incidents, leads the incident management process.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of system infrastructure and DevOps principles; contributes to performance and quality within their scope; applies a security‑first mindset.
- Promotes engineering best practices across team’s scope.
- Actively pursues improving engineering skills, including but not limited to problem solving, writing readable/testable/efficient code, mastering technology in our stack, and anticipating scaling issues.
- Be highly productive – have a reputation for getting things done quickly and efficiently.
- Requires very little oversight from team leads or managers.
- Be able to communicate well with all engineers, regardless of seniority.
