Aircall is a unicorn, AI-powered customer communications platform used by 22,000+ companies worldwide to drive revenue, resolve issues faster, and scale customer-facing teams. We’re redefining customer communications by bringing voice, SMS, WhatsApp, and AI together into one seamless workspace. Our momentum comes from a simple idea: help teams work smarter, not harder. Aircall’s AI Voice Agent automates routine calls, AI Assist streamlines post-call work, and AI Assist Pro delivers real-time guidance so people can do their best work. The result is higher revenue, faster resolutions, and teams that scale with confidence.

Aircall is headquartered in Paris, with a strong North American presence anchored in Seattle, and teams across Madrid, London, Berlin, San Francisco, New York City, Sydney, and Mexico City. We’ve built a product customers love and a business that’s scaling quickly, backed by world-class investors and driven by rapid AI innovation across multiple product lines. At Aircall, you’ll join a company in motion. We’re ambitious, product-driven, and execution-focused, with visible impact, fast decisions, and real growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Embed & Solve: Partner directly with departments (Legal, HR, Finance) to identify manual friction and deploy practical AI solutions that solve real-world problems.
  • Build & Prototype: Rapidly design and implement AI-enabled workflows, including automated document generation, prompt-driven tools, and internal system integrations.
  • Scale Engineering Velocity: Collaborate with developers to adopt AI coding assistants, automate documentation, and reduce friction in the engineering lifecycle.
  • Own the AI Stack: Manage the enterprise AI toolkit, overseeing vendor selection, cost monitoring, security compliance, and access provisioning.
  • Drive & Measure Adoption: Lead internal workshops and create playbooks to scale AI literacy, ensuring every implementation results in measurable time savings and reduced manual effort.

What We're Looking For

  • Pragmatic Engineer: You are a builder who prioritises shipping functional tools over theoretical research. You enjoy deconstructing messy operational challenges into clean, technical solutions.
  • AI & Automation Proficiency: You have a deep understanding of LLM architectures, prompt engineering, and the AI tooling ecosystem. You’re comfortable working with APIs and middleware to bridge disparate systems.
  • Technical Consultant Mindset: You can bridge the gap between non-technical stakeholders and complex workflows. You’re adept at gathering requirements and operating autonomously in ambiguous environments.
  • Outcome-Driven: You focus on measurable impact. Success for you is defined by reduced latency in manual processes, high-accuracy automation, and quantifiable time savings for the team.
  • Systems Fluency: Whether your background is in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Tech Ops, you bring a product-oriented approach to scaling AI and internal infrastructure.

Why this Role Matters

AI adoption across companies often grows organically and without structure. Without the right enablement: AI usage becomes fragmented, governance risks increase, tool sprawl accelerates, productivity gains plateau. This role helps transform AI from a collection of tools into a scalable operational capability for the company.

Our Approach

  • Impact-First Scaling: We are starting lean and scaling based on measurable performance. As the first dedicated Forward-Deployed Engineer in our AI Enablement initiative, you will have the unique opportunity to define how AI is adopted across the entire organization.
  • Cross-Functional Architecture: You will operate at the intersection of Engineering Productivity, Security, IT, Legal, and Business Operations to ensure AI solutions are secure, compliant, and deeply integrated.
  • Operational Edge: Your work won't just be experimental; it will directly influence Aircall’s operational strategy by building the next generation of AI-augmented workflows.

Why join us?

  • Key moment to join Aircall in terms of growth and opportunities.
  • Our people matter, work-life balance is important at Aircall.
  • Fast-learning environment, entrepreneurial and strong team spirit.
  • 45+ Nationalities: cosmopolite & multi-cultural mindset.
  • Competitive salary package & benefits.

DE&I Statement: At Aircall, we believe diversity, equity and inclusion – irrespective of origins, identity, background and orientations – are core to our journey. We are strongly committed to hiring a diverse and multicultural team and we encourage applications from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. How to prepare for a job interview at Aircall

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines.
