Join Guidant as we collaborate with the world\’s largest aircraft manufacturer, Airbus. We are seeking Toolmakers to join Airbus\’ dynamic team at the Broughton site, within the Wing Build Production section.

If you have experience in a similar role, you are invited to join Airbus and work on essential, challenging projects, as aircraft wings are among the most technically intricate components of an aircraft.

About the role

  • Reactively maintain tooling to keep production enabled
  • Proactively maintain critical path tooling and specific features of the jigs to enable production to deliver the build cycle using predefined schedules
  • Work with the Metrology team utilizing Laser Trackers and CMM instruments to check and certify various types of tooling across the Broughton Plant
  • Support measurements for AC concession data and acceptance checks

Flexible shift options

  • Double Days: Week 1 – 06:00 to 13:10, Week 2 – 13:30 to 20:40 (Monday to Friday)
  • Nights: 20:45 to 06:00 (Monday to Thursday)

Who are we looking for?

We seek individuals who have completed a full Apprenticeship in Toolmaking along with an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).

At Broughton, the site designs, tests, and manufactures wings for all Airbus\’ commercial aircraft, except the A220, supporting approximately 9,000 UK jobs. The site employs around 6,000 highly skilled personnel and has a rich aerospace manufacturing heritage dating back 80 years, producing aircraft such as the Wellington, Lancaster, De Havilland Mosquito, and Comet.
