We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance, Health & Safety Engineer at Testia Ltd.

Location: Filton, Bristol

Contract: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

In this role, you will ensure all EN9100 related activities within the Company are implemented and maintained in-line with Global Testia and Local QMS requirements. Reporting to the local Quality Manager (QM), you will assist to ensure all Customer specific and regulatory body requirements are implemented and maintained. The focus of the role is to support the Quality Manager to develop and enhance the quality culture and QMS compliance while acting as the primary focal point for site Health & Safety.

Duties - Quality
  • Support QM in analysing and reporting quality concerns (customer and internal) and instigating improvement activities where appropriate
  • Assist in 8D problem solving workshops and root cause analysis to drive improvement in quality performance, ensuring corrective actions taken are effective and implemented in a timely manner
  • Facilitate QM in maintaining the Document Control Register, ensuring all QMS documentation are at the correct issue level and readily accessible
  • Contribute to the adherence to Internal Quality Audit schedule to enable compliance with QMS, supporting 2nd and 3rd Party External Audits
  • Assist the QM in monitoring supplier performance, including maintaining supplier qualification records, supporting supplier audits, and tracking supplier improvement actions
  • Aid QM in maintaining the Improvement and Risk Action Log, ensuring appropriate actions are prioritised and implemented in a timely and effective manner
  • Work alongside QM in achieving quality objectives by liaising with transnational teams on quality support topics
  • Support the conducting of GoLookSee and other spot checks in-line with the operational Schedule to monitor adherence to processes
Duties - Health and Safety
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety legislation, company policies, and best practices
  • Coordinate with Heads of Department to undertake regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement control measures
  • Coordinate and deliver health and safety training for employees, ensuring compliance and fostering a strong safety culture
  • Maintain comprehensive health and safety records, including incident logs, inspection reports, and training Registers
  • Develop, implement and review health and safety policies, procedures and safe systems of work
  • Provide regular reports to the Heads of Departments, with regular meetings, providing a focal point for any Health & Safety meetings at site (Airbus), local and group levels
Other Duties - Operational support
  • Undertake additional cross-functional responsibilities to support the wider operational needs within Engineering and IT
Key Criteria
  • Working knowledge of EN9100, 8D, FMECA
  • Formal Internal Auditing Experience and Qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience of delivery in a Quality role
  • HNC / Degree
  • Digitally fluent and capable of creating structured reports, presentation and spreadsheets using workspace suite
  • Practical experience conducting workplace risk assessments, safety audits and managing incident reporting
  • Familiarity with operational hazards and safety protocol management
Desirable Criteria
  • NEBOSH and/or IOSH qualification
  • Knowledge or experience of non-destructive testing
  • Knowledge and experience of NADCAP processes
  • Knowledge of Part 145 rules and regulations
