Job Description
We are currently looking for:
NDT Inspection Team Leader (m/f)
Location: Filton, Bristol
Contract: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Duties:
Inspection Team Leader
- Take responsibility for internal and external audits (Nadcap, business line Quality specific)
- Work closely with the business development/ sales and marketing team to support with customer requests
- Incorporate Testia Policies and Procedures
- Establish goals and objectives for the team running annual appraisals
- Make sure that the business line has adequately qualified staff, equipment, facilities and other resources to accomplish its goals including managing Inspection team rotas around customer workload/ holiday requests
- Approve weekly timesheets each month & any pay enhancements
- Create harmonious working environment, train and mentor staff and motivate all team members to perform efficiently.
- Support recruitment – Review CVs, choose applicants to interview, attend interviews, choose the correct candidate to make the offer in line with HR
- Confirm each of your employee's attendance, performance, conduct and suitability for continued employment at the end of their probation period.
- Tracking and reporting of business line KPI's
NDT inspector
- Maintain obtained skills and certifications and acquire new ones
- Work on requirements provided by management whenever called upon
- Plan, evaluate and carry out non-destructive material testing (NDT) for national and international customers
- Carry out tests in the areas of magnetic particle testing, dye penetrant testing, visual inspection, x-ray testing, ultrasonic testing and eddy current testing
- Document test results in writing in accordance with local and global company procedures
- Carry out standardised tests on a wide variety of materials
- Requirements to travel nationally and internationally as and when the business requires
P145 Maintenance Manager
- Report to the Accountable Manager whenever deficiencies emerge, that require their attention in respect of finance and the acceptability of standards.
- Control of the organisation's procedures..
- Control of the workforce for their quality of workmanship is to a standard acceptable to the organisation and the CAA.
- Ensuring the competence of all personnel engaged in maintenance.
- Keeping a record of all training and experience of maintenance-related personnel.
- Responsible for the implementation of the safety policy and human factor issues.
- Responding to quality deficiencies
Our requirements:
- Qualification/ certification in accordance with EN4179 in the methods of: RT, UT, MT, PT & ET
- Documented experience hours for all NDT methods held
- Documented Aerospace / Aircraft work experience hours
- In-service / manufacturing inspection background
- Experience in the inspection of metallic and composite components
- Driving licence class B and willingness to travel (mainly national)
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Independent and structure way of working
- Ability to work in a team, resilience, flexibility
