About us: You will join a department within Airbus that is responsible for developing how equipment and systems are supported for Satcom systems, including land and maritime systems. You will be involved in bidding activities, working with commercial, finance, project planning and engineering functions, and understanding how the support is developed, implemented and delivered to customers after contract award. You will sharpen your skills in an area strategically important to Airbus, gaining a deep understanding of our business – its opportunities, challenges, and needs.

As part of this degree apprenticeship, you will be studying towards achieving a Degree in an Engineering related subject.

What you will be doing:

  • Development of support solutions and inputs into bids, including written proposals, costs and scheduling
  • Influencing design for support, working closely with design engineers as well as sales, finance and commercial functions
  • Developing key skills that are increasingly rare yet vital within the industry
  • Providing a high level of exposure across all functions of the business
  • Learning how to develop support solutions for equipment and complex systems
  • Understanding customer requirements and contracts, and applying technical expertise to influence these and other functions

Requirements:

In order to be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must have a minimum of:

  • 104-112 UCAS points made up of 3 A levels at BCC or above which must include a STEM based subject
  • BTEC: DMM
  • T Level: Merit
  • IB: 28-29
  • GCSE with grade C/4 or above in Maths and English Language or Functional Skills

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong science/engineering based background, supported by a strong written capability

  • RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK: Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom for the full duration of the programme.
  • LEVY FUNDING: Successful candidates must be eligible for the levy funding.
