About us:
You will join a department within Airbus that is responsible for developing how equipment and systems are supported for Satcom systems, this includes for land and maritime systems. You will be involved in bidding activities, including working with commercial, finance, project planning and engineering functions, and how all these interact. You will also be involved in understanding how the support is developed, implemented and delivered to customers after contract award.
You\'ll sharpen your skills in an area strategically important to Airbus, gaining a deep understanding of our business – its opportunities, challenges, and needs – and, most importantly, you\'ll have learned more about yourself and what makes you truly great.
As part of this degree apprenticeship, you will be studying towards achieving a Degree in an Engineering related subject.
What you will be doing:
Your activities will include the following:
- Development of support solutions and inputs into bids, including written proposals, costs and scheduling
- Influencing design for support, working closely with design engineers as well as sales, finance and commercial functions
- You will develop key skills that are increasingly rare yet increasingly vital within the industry. The role provides a high level of exposure across all functions of the business providing you with a strong knowledge of all aspects of business and engineering support activities.
- You will learn how to develop support solutions for equipment and complex systems, how to develop technical and complex proposals and plans and also how to perform the supporting analysis
- You will learn how to understand customer requirements and contracts, and how to apply technical expertise to influence these and other functions
Requirements:
In order to be eligible to this apprenticeship, you must have a minimum of:
- 104-112 UCAS points made up of 3 A levels at BCC or above which must include a STEM based subject
- BTEC: DMM
- T Level: Merit
- IB: 28-29
- GCSE with grade C/4 or above in Maths and English Language or Functional Skills
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
