Location: Filton, near Bristol (80% hybrid, full-time on site initially)
Hours: 35 hours per week (4.5 days, between 7am and 7pm)
Pay: PAYE £30.00 per hour | Umbrella £40.13 per hour

Guidant Global is recruiting a Supplier Support Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of Airbus. You will join the Industrial Systems Support for Suppliers team (OMS department) at Filton, providing hands‑on Manufacturing Engineering support to the Airbus supply chain.
The team makes sure suppliers are industrialised to the performance targets expected across Airbus programmes. Your focus will be the Single Aisle family (A320/A321), with potential to support all programmes, on current production and the next generation of aircraft.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing technical Manufacturing Engineering support to Aerostructure and Detail Parts suppliers across serial programmes and next-generation aircraft
- Supporting New Product Introduction and Transfer of Work activity within the supplier network
- Analysing the industrial capability of potential suppliers
- Contributing to the Transfer of Work project team and organising industrial kick-off meetings with suppliers
- Leading Supplier Industrial Reviews until Industrial Coordination Handover
- Using your manufacturing expertise to improve quality and support supplier capability
- Working with suppliers directly to review quality issues and non-quality in the Aerostructure and Detail Parts supply chain
- Taking part in Root Cause Analysis of Technical Abnormalities with Procurement Operations, to determine whether manufacturing capability is the cause
- Contributing to Design Reviews, providing design-to-manufacture input for industrialisation
- Supporting process improvement, technology dissemination and industrial innovation projects at suppliers
- Providing industrial support on modifications
- Acting as the manufacturing industrial authority on development projects, with a focus on co-design
- Coordinating activities within your area and passing information to internal and external stakeholders through established reporting channels
- Travelling to suppliers occasionally, including globally if required
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Technical background in manufacturing engineering, with a manufacturing background
- Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods
- Ability to assess design drawings for detailed manufacture, with a particular focus on manufacturability
- Good understanding of tolerances and drawing dimensioning, with machineability in mind
- Understanding of aircraft drawings
- Working knowledge of CATIA
- Experience of liaising with different suppliers and reviewing quality issues with them directly
Desirable
- Aerospace experience or background
- Degree level in Engineering or equivalent (experience is valued over qualifications)
