We are seeking skilled Aircraft Fitters to join Airbus' team at the Broughton site, within the Wing Build Production section. Candidates with experience in similar manufacturing or engineering roles are encouraged to apply.
At Airbus Broughton, you'll participate in assembling wings for Airbus's commercial aircraft, including the A320, A330, and A350XWB families.
What to expect as a Skilled Aircraft Fitter:
- Work on the technically intricate components of aircraft wings, crucial for aerodynamic performance and eco-efficiency.
- Responsibilities include:
- Assembly, fittings, and component installations
- Repairs on metallic and composite materials
- Occasional work in confined spaces or at heights
- Double Days: Week 1 - 06:00 to 13:10, Week 2 - 13:30 to 20:40 (Monday to Friday)
- Nights: 20:45 to 06:00 (Monday to Thursday)
Candidate requirements:
- Full Aerospace or Engineering Apprenticeship
- Experience as Sheet Metal Worker, Metal Fabricator, Welder, or Mechanical Fitter
- Additional accepted qualifications: Indenture, City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC ONC, Modern Apprenticeship Certificate, NVQ Level 2/3, Key Skills Level 2
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Openness to continuous improvement and innovation
- High Health and Safety standards adherence
