Join Guidant as we collaborate with the world's largest aircraft manufacturer, Airbus. We are seeking skilled Aircraft Fitters to join Airbus' team at the Broughton site, within the Wing Build Production section. If you have experience in manufacturing or engineering roles, you are invited to apply.
At Airbus Broughton, you'll play a key role in assembling wings for Airbus's commercial aircraft, including the A320, A330, and A350XWB families.
What to expect as a Skilled Aircraft Fitter:
- Engage in assembly, fittings, and component installations, and conduct repairs on metallic and composite materials.
- The role may involve working in confined spaces or at heights.
Flexible shift options include:
- Double Days: Week 1 - 06:00 to 13:10, Week 2 - 13:30 to 20:40 (Monday to Friday)
- Nights: 20:45 to 06:00 (Monday to Thursday)
Requirements:
- Full Aerospace or Engineering Apprenticeship
- Experience in roles like Sheet Metal Worker, Metal Fabricator, Welder, or Mechanical Fitter
- Additional accepted qualifications: Indenture, City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC ONC, Modern Apprenticeship Certificate, NVQ Level 2/3, Key Skills Level 2
- Self-motivated with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Openness to continuous improvement and innovation
- High health and safety standards
