AHUK offers considerable experience in helicopter sales, bespoke completions, maintenance and spares support.

Its in-house engineering capabilities include design, customisation, installation, flight-testing and certification, as well as technical support, maintenance, training and the supply of spares for civil and military applications.

AHUK is the Mo D’s chosen provider of helicopters and maintenance for its Defence Helicopter Flying school (referred to as MFTS) located in RAF Shawbury (Shropshire) and RAF Valley (Anglesey).

  • Description/Overall purpose of the Job

Responsible for the management and production of airworthiness reviews across the AHUK managed fleet or for external customers.

  • Main responsibilities
  • Ensure strict compliance by adhering to established company procedures.
  • Conduct comprehensive airworthiness reviews for ARC, NARC, and Cof A renewals.
  • Conduct ARC and NARC extensions.
  • Conduct comprehensive airworthiness reviews for ARC, NARC, and Cof A renewals.
  • Conduct comprehensive independent checks for components replacements.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and updates of aircraft flight manuals.
  • Provide support for the review and modification of Aircraft Maintenance Programmes (AMPs).
  • Provide support for the review and update of Airworthiness Directive Records (ADRs).
  • Provide support for line and base maintenance planning operations.
  • Provide support for materials planning and procurement.
  • Provide support for the production and review of maintenance variations.
  • Provide support for the accurate updates of aircraft and engine records.
  • Provide cross-functional collaboration and support within the CAMO team.
  • Continuously optimise CAMO processes and procedures to maximize overall organisational efficiency.
  • Perform additional professional duties as formally directed by the Continuing Airworthiness Manager.
  • Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Good understanding of aircraft continuing airworthiness requirements as related to Part-CAMO regulation.
  • Methodical with acute attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision or as part of a team.
  • Flexible work ethic focused on delivering against agreed timelines.
  • Strong team leadership.
  • Proactive - ability to recognise potential issues and apply remedial action before they raise concern or affect operations.
  • Must have high computer literacy skills and be competent with Google Docs.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of continuing airworthiness management software for the use of maintenance and materials planning.
  • Knowledge of Airbus Helicopters Products and their technical documentation.

Education, Qualifications or Training

Essential

  • Experienced Part 66 licensed engineer or holding an appropriate aeronautical degree with an extensive experience in continued airworthiness management environment or
  • Demonstrable experience in continued airworthiness management environment if Part-66 licence or aeronautical degree is not available.
  • Acceptable as ARC Signatory to support the recommendation / issue / extension of ARC’s.
  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s Grade C or above or equivalent recognised qualifications (e. g. NVQ, BTEC).

Desirable

  • Aviation related degree or equivalent.
  • Aviation human factors training undertaken.
  • Recognised Part-CAMO Training Course accomplished.
  • Recognised Part-145 Training Course accomplished.
  • Eligible to become an airworthiness review staff
  • Additional requirements
  • Due to the nature of this position you will require DBS Security Clearance and be eligible for SC clearance.
