Acting as Deputy to the Head of Engineering, you will lead critical projects, optimize operational performance, and foster collaboration across global teams to deliver exceptional wings to our assembly lines in Montreal and Mobile Alabama. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM:
- Delivery of tasks to time, cost and quality with appropriate funding sourced and agreed with a mutually understood position with stakeholders.
- Resource planning and identification of resource gaps, including suppliers, to include planned workload and development of offload activity.
- Leadership of projects across the A220 Engineering Team, including interaction with the wider Airbus engineering group supporting product development e.g. in Bremen/ Wichita/ Filton / Toulouse/ Montreal.
- Promote co-design and collaboration between Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering.
- Create a strong Project Management framework that combines Business Management and Technical Excellence.
- Contribute to achievement of the Team strategy in line with our Vision and Values.
- Deliverables managed with transparency, and leadership that combines Technical Excellence with Business and Finance understanding.
ABOUT YOU:

Essential:
- Be educated to HNC level (engineering related) together with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant project management experience.
- OR be educated to degree level in Engineering, together with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant project management experience.
- Proven Project Management skills and be able to demonstrate delivery performance.
- Demonstrate the ability of leading or influencing teams and operating / exerting influence in a matrix organisation.
- Be motivated to create and apply a robust Project Management Framework to deliverables and to lead and deliver whilst embracing change.
- Integrate and engage with technical experts and specialists to achieve optimum technical and business solutions.
- Have the ability to listen, understand and communicate information clearly to your team and stakeholders.
- Deliver projects and technical solutions in line with business needs to Time, Cost and Quality.
- Show innovation and free thinking with a degree of curiosity to explore new ideas.
