About the role:
Your key responsibilities will be to manage an assigned portfolio of strategic suppliers across the Brenntag UK & Ire organisation, which will involve gathering data on, analysing, and communicating market conditions for the allocated products.
- Establish and build working relationships with suppliers and develop new relationships when necessary.
- Travel will be required to customers, suppliers, and industry events.
- Defining and negotiating the best prices and support from the supplier base.
- Effectively manage specific supply scenarios such as: FM’s, product shortages, allocations, manufacturing issues. Engagement with the wider business is key.
- Seek new market and product opportunities.
- Completion of reports on a monthly, quarterly basis for the relevant stakeholders within the business, such as commercial reports and presentations.
- Responsible for the delivery of annual Gross Profit. Manage and support on stock holding and working capital.
- Strong communication and persuasion skills for implementing strategies.
- Monitor, evaluate and clearly communicate on market dynamics and product opportunities.
- Collaborating with the sales team to drive the existing supplier relationships forward and expand them where appropriate.
- Deliver and present the necessary product training and commercial updates when required.
