Prestwick Aerosystems manufactures major aircraft wing structures used on Airbus commercial aircraft worldwide. We are looking for experienced tradespeople who want to apply their skills within one of the world's most demanding manufacturing environments. You will join an experienced production team carrying out precision assembly and manufacturing activities to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble aircraft wing structure components using approved engineering instructions and technical data.
- Carry out sealing, coating and finishing activities to aerospace manufacturing standards.
- Safely operate tools, equipment and production systems while meeting demanding quality requirements.
- Maintain exceptional standards of quality, safety and compliance within a regulated aerospace environment.
Requirements
- Completed apprenticeship in a mechanical, fabrication, welding, vehicle maintenance, pipefitting, gas fitting or comparable manufacturing trade.
- Trade papers, apprenticeship papers or equivalent qualification certificates (to be provided during recruitment).
- Experience working from technical drawings, engineering instructions or manufacturing documentation.
- Experience carrying out fitting, fabrication, welding, mechanical assembly or similar skilled trade activities.
- Evidence of apprenticeship completion and trade qualifications must be provided as part of your application.
- An SVQ Level 3 qualification, City and Guilds qualification (or equivalent recognised vocational qualification).
- Suitable backgrounds include: Aerospace Manufacturing; Mechanical Fitting; Welding; Fabrication; Vehicle Maintenance; HGV Maintenance; Pipefitting; Gas Fitting; similar mechanical or manufacturing trades.
