From our Prestwick site, we manufacture major aircraft wing structures used on Airbus commercial aircraft worldwide. We currently have one permanent full-time Senior Buyer role and two fixed-term Senior Buyer opportunities available within our Commercial team.
As a Senior Buyer, you will play an important role in ensuring materials, services and supplier partnerships support the delivery of world-class aerospace products. Working across an international supply chain, you will help drive commercial performance, support operational requirements and contribute to the continued success of our manufacturing operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that continues to invest in its people, processes and future growth while supporting some of the world's leading aerospace programmes.
How you will contribute to the team:
- Manage strategic suppliers, monitor supplier performance and support commercial reviews across the supply base.
- Lead supplier negotiations to secure value, manage commercial risk and support business objectives.
- Conduct supplier selection and sourcing activities in line with operational and strategic requirements.
- Support supplier development, performance improvement and procurement initiatives across multiple functions.
Requirements for the role:
- Experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
- An understanding of supplier management, sourcing activities and commercial negotiations.
- Knowledge of contract management and commercial processes.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and supporting cost, quality and performance improvement activities.
