We are looking for an Engineer to support Systems Safety and regulatory compliance for military satellite communications and future space projects at Airbus Defence & Space in Portsmouth.
Responsibilities
- Implement and champion Systems Safety and regulatory compliance in a systems engineering environment.
- Develop and maintain safety and environmental cases for MOD and overseas forces.
- Coordinate and influence internal and external stakeholders on safety and regulatory matters.
- Support new and legacy ground projects, and expand to space projects.
- Maintain compliance with CE marking directives, Environmental, Export Control, Licence Compliance, GDPR, and AI regulations.
- Document, report, and analyse data using spreadsheets and other tools.
- Act as key point of contact for safety and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Engineering background in Systems, Electronics, Electrical, or Systems Safety.
- Safety experience or knowledge within an Engineering environment.
- Pragmatic, solutions‑based mindset.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and change.
- Strong communication skills across all organisational levels.
- Experience in creating, maintaining and updating reports, spreadsheets, and documents.
