About you

This role will suit someone who has Research, Academia or Industry experience with ONE of the following:

  • Astrophysics or Electrical / Electronics Engineering with a genuine interest in space
  • Radiation and Nuclear Hardening
  • Someone who brings ideas to the table and holds your hand up with questions or spotting red flags.
  • Interested in working on advanced spacecraft projects such as Rovers and Satellites for Telecoms, Military / MOD and scientific clients (Deforestation, pollution and ice cap monitoring)
  • Builds positive working relationships and contributes to a respectful, collaborative team environment. Is comfortable providing and receiving feedback within a team environment

How you will Contribute to the team

  • Learn about Radiation and Nuclear Hardening with self-directed learning, shadowing and using the team's knowledge and expertise including local experts
  • Produce and review relevant documentation - project drawings, performance analysis, bid proposals, radiation analysis, cost estimates, and schedules
  • Maintain technical liaison with suppliers, customer representatives
  • Generate component test specification and managing radiation testing of components, project specific environment specifications
  • Analyse the results and ascertain if the results are correct or need revising
  • Experience of prioritising tasks based on information and project needs, rather than how loud someone is being
