We are seeking a dynamic Shift Manager to take ownership of all aspects relating to our team's performance on shift. In this role, you will lead, organize, and co-ordinate a dedicated team to create an environment that encourages superior performance in terms of both quality and productivity. Please note that shift working to cover a variety of patterns will be required, including days, nights, and weekend shifts.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Monitor, control and regulate to ensure production schedules are achieved within cost parameters.
  • Achieve targets aimed at the continuous development of people.
  • Develop an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure a disciplined approach to housekeeping and promote a safe working environment.
  • Ensure agreement on programme constraints with the Production Manager.
  • Ensure that customer specifications are achieved in line with desired cost values.
  • Monitor and control contract costs in line with the annual operating plan.
  • Maintain effective employee relations within the team.

ABOUT YOU

It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that sufficient detail is provided on application to demonstrate how the applicant meets essential job criteria, as this alone will be used for vetting purposes. Candidates must have a minimum of an HNC in an engineering / business discipline, or possess a NVQ Level III in Supervisory Management or equivalent and have a minimum of 1 years' experience at a leadership / supervisory / management level within an operations, functional or engineering environment. Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in an operations, functional or engineering environment with at least one year at a leadership / supervisory / management level.
